I've read a book written by James Schefter titled "All Corvettes Are Red" and it gives an inside look at the development of the Corvette over the years. 

So this past weekend it was definitely "All Corvettes Are Red" in the dealer lot

Just like for Ferrari. Yellow is another favored color that both marques share.

Hi Padj, I thought it was cool that one of the color options this year is Corvette Racing Yellow to match the C7.R race cars. I saw one and it is more opaque than the prior yellow. I still love the torch red color.

They were all white with red interior.
Red was really not the most popular color until the C4 (1984) was introduced. As crazy as this may seem in 1964 and 1965, blue was the most popular color.
