and I was told that it might come out in May, and if not May, June. So I know that it is about time to come out. I posted here to see if anyone has seen it in store. I was monitoring their website and this model was not listed. But just now I saw this model and there is “notify me when available, and I just entered my email address. So it looks like that it will be available soon.
Just an hour ago I passed by a Bulgari shop largest HK and wandered in to ask them when they were expecting the new OF stainless steel - silver dial model. A simple question…you would have thought…
The saleswomen pulled out their phones and started conferring with each other. Then they offered to show me a photo of the watch. (No need, I know what it looks like.) Then they tried making small talk…”your office is nearby?” “did you know this is our largest boutique in the city?” Then they offered me some details about the watch. (No need for this either!) Then they offered to let me try on a similar model to see how it fits (I’ve already got it in titanium…). Then they offered to take my details and add them to some mailing list. (Uhhh…)
Eventually - it took some time - they figured out that I really was just asking one simple question and told me that it’s likely not to make it to Hong Kong except as a special order. Which, to be honest, I find surprising.
Getting a simple piece of information was like trying to get a straight answer out of your average politician!
+1, exactly what I was going to type after reading the first couple lines! ;-)) That's precisely the situation where I'd end up drinking an entire bottle of champagne inside of the boutique! ;-)
I actually refused a drink. Just wanted one piece of information and was on my way somewhere else (Phillips’ watch auction preview, actually). They were trying - too hard! - but I just wasn’t in the mood…
;-) I was just browsing the results of the first session, as usual quite a few good ones with Phillips...I'll be interested to see what happens tomorrow, especially in the morning ;-)
Many thanks for sharing your experience! I just saw on Bulgari website that the new steel OF in grey dial is available for purchase now. This must be just becoming available very recently. The GMT in SS is not available yet.
Yeah, a lot good things about the OF GMT. First, even chronograph GMT in one is very unusual yet very useful. Love the peripheral rotor which showcases the thin movement.

The new OF perpetual calendar is a stunning piece and I understand why it is your grail watch. Good luck and hope that you will get it one day!
Had very similar experiences with bulgari boutiques. They were very nice and tried their best, but were not able to answer most of my questions. Both in my area also only have a watchmaker available once per week to adjust bracelets

It seems to me, that bulgari boutiques are set up for „jewellery“ customers and most of their staff is not trained for or used to the typical watch afficionado
Unfortunate. Nothing worse than a poor sales person.

I don't ever visit any stores where I live, so I only get to ogle watch cases when I travel. Vegas is my usual spot for that, most every brand is represented. I think next time I visit, I will hang a sign around my neck showing where I am from and acknowledging that yes, I realize I don't pay sales tax if they ship me the watch (although, Colorado is quickly becoming Colofornia, and that rule has changed but not every retailer understands it).
Thanks a lot for replying! This model just appeared on their website and I signed up at the link “notify me when available”. It should be available soon :) thanks!
I have just received the watch after it took some time for my AD to get it.

I like the design and look which bring Genta heritage and Italian heritage to my collection. I admire the engineering feat of an ultra thin movement with chronograph and GMT in one, maybe due to my own engineering background. The peripheral rotor is really cool and I am wondering why it has not been used more. The watch does look big - the 43mm diameter is for the circular bezel, and the watch is bigger than that. It looks fine on my wrist however, as you may see in the photos. The lume shot is absolutely beautiful. It is a striking timepiece that I would enjoy wearing on a vacation. I may wear it while WFH, but may be too eye catching going to the office.
I posted the question here 4 months ago wondering when this watch would be available. It was love at first sight when seeing it on the cover of WatchTime. Thanks again everyone for your info and advices. I am super happy to add this beauty to my collection.
