Then, it was the first half year of Omegas, one Vintage Seamaster 300 with Lollypop
Well, 2022 was a rather stimulating year, although with only rather few watches incoming.
To start with, the end of 2021 and beginning of 2022 culminated in the arrival of a long
existing dream, to Humble Me a pretty Heavyweight for my stables.
What it was ?
- For me a dream watch until then in the category of “Luxury sportswatches”; due to
a timely bigger business success and mainly a really good offer from a friend, I
was able to pick up my PP (Nautilus) 5167, practically unworn and with a complete set !..

seconds hand, a watch I had been eyeing for quite some time, - Lucky me,
a very good friend parted from one in very good condition, and I was able
to secure it, for my stables and my friend was happy it went to a friendly home..

Finally, after Omega had issued its CK 859, I happily joined
the ranks of several ProSite members here, as I also liked its
low key, yet qietly classy appeal, an ideal piece to walk
around everywhere without any “Bling”..
My last acq: the CK 859 ( sector dial), an Omega Re-Edition really with lots of Vintage charm
Very pleasant for eye and wrist, IMHO..

Rather few arrivals in 2022, but I am
truly happy, about how this year developed:
(one Patek “grail”, two Omegas, one a Vintage classic, one modern yet with Vintage appeal).
Have to say, that I wear these 3 newcomers quite a lot, hope you like these choices a bit,
- but guess, now the watch budget will have to recover a bit..

The 5167 was the only Nautilus I liked
because of its fascinating dial without this uninspired white date window I really dislike.
My AD offered it to me for Euro 28.000 about more than a decade ago. I refused because I found it ridiculous to pay so much for a steel sports watch…. 😩

And Yes, the acquisition of the Nautilus 5167 was a long standing wish, which turned out very rewarding !
It‘s one of those watches, which exert their full attractiveness sometimes on a second look !

The Nautilus - catching one currently is certainly a very special feeling! And the Omegas are fabulous additions to your collection - am seriously thinking of the CK myself (a serious competitor being the DeVille Tresor with small seconds, which if anything, is even stealthier) 😊👍🏻

Both are great - but without the time ( due to not being allowed to go anywhere) I'm pretty convinced I wouldn't have been so bothered about getting a gshock. But it's a good tool watch to throw on when you don't want to worry about what you're wearing.

Watch catching has been great for me this year with the arrival along the last months of a few watches I have ordered earlier and required a long wait to be enjoyed.
