Hello dear Kristjan and friends.
Starting a collection from scratch today would in my opinion be very exciting. Especially armed with several decades of knowledge. The landscape for watches is very different today but I still believe that you can have a lot of fun and enjoy the journey. The key is to remember that this should be a pleasurable experience.
First stop on the journey would be easy, straight down to an Omega Boutique and pickup a Speedmaster, you would be welcomed and in exchange for a very reasonable price you would walk out with a great watch on your wrist.
Whilst your in the Boutique place an order for a 321 āEd Whiteā Speedmaster as you need to have something extra special to look forward to.
Next stop⦠No collection is ever going to be complete without a Rolex so Iām walking straight past the Rolex AD, as this journey is all about pleasure and ridicule is seldom pleasurable ;-)) ⦠pickup a nice example of a GMT- Master with box and paperwork, because itās a modern classic that is perfect for traveling and we are definitely going to be going places !

After all this I probably need a little lunch so whilst refuelling Iām ordering a Doxa online as you need a real world ātool watchā for the high days and holidaysā¦
Now Iām going to need a Patek Philippe from somewhere and one thing Iāve learnt along the way is long after the price is forgotten the quality remains (as does the continuing service) so I would order a new Calatrava, slim and elegant but easily personalised, with a cool choice of strap, this watch will take you anywhere and still look relevant in ten years time ā¦
Finally, something that I donāt currently own but would be looking to add to my new collection⦠an Independent by Vianney Halter, the Deep Space !
Have a great weekend friends !
Best regards
Captain
