Fun with Ampersands...
Look closely at the "A. Lange & Söhne" logo as it appears in various places on Lange's watches, in Lange's printed and other marketing materials, etc. You'll notice that sometimes the ampersand (the "&" symbol) has a flat top, while at other times it has a rounded top, as follows:
See if you can figure out when Lange uses the flat top versus the rounded top.
I think I found a general rule that applies, though I've found at least one very notable exception to that rule.

Well, I just looked at all my Langes
They all are cutoff except for the Cabaret Darth. I can't figure out the pattern, as I originally thought if it were a straight line versus a curve layout. But I have the cutoff on both types. The Anniversary is a straight line, but it is cutoff. What do you perceive is the rule?

Ok...I tried to crack the code...to no avail.
I don't get it. There must be some rhyme to the reason...after all, it's their corporate logo!
Even on their website and corporate literature...the ampersand is cut-off.
I have 7 pieces that I've checked on:
1. Lange Perpetual...round top...straight logo
2. Lange Datograph...cut off top...curved logo
3. Lange Anniversary...cut off top...straight logo
4. Langematik w/ date...round top...straight logo
5. Lange Cabaret...round top...straight logo
6. Lange 1815 up/down WL LE...cut off top...curved logo
7. Lange One...cut off top...curved logo
And...on the back of every one...round top.
So...I'm clueless on this one.

I'm not sure how accurate this is, but here's what I've observed...
DIALS: The ampersand ("&") has (1) a round top on all dials with a horizontal "A. Lange & Söhne" logo and (2) a flat top on all dials with a curved "A. Lange & Söhne" logo EXCEPT for the Anniversary Langematik, which has a flat-top ampersand and horizontal Lange logo (and enamel dial).
[The "DIALS" rule also seems to be true for Lange's printed marketing materials.]
DEPLOYANT BUCKLES have flat-top ampersands and horizontal logos.
MOVEMENTS: I can't figure out any rule that applies consistently to movements. It seems like every time I think I find a rule, I find at least 2 exceptions (e.g., the L051.1 movement has a round-top ampersand but the L051.2 movement has a flat-top ampersand).
CASEBACKS: All* casebacks have round-top ampersands, regardless of whether the logo is horizontal (e.g., on the Cabaret) or curved (on models with round cases).

In addition to the Anniversary, I believe that these current models are all exceptions to your "Dial Rule" that horizontal logos always come with rounded tops.
