had never seen the dial before.  Like the roman numerals--wish they a Lange 1 with the hour and minutes indicated with Roman numerals....

I prefer the smaller one, without the interpenetrating circles, but I would be very happy to include such a rare bird in my collection.

I once got into hot water here for voicing my opinion and impressions, unsolicited, on this particular piece - instead of the almost obligatory "Congrats".

So I will rephrase it as follows -

Q: Can you give me a second of your time?
A: Sure, which one? Pick whichever you like.

Q: Can you give me a minute of your time?
A: Hmmm, I'm afraid you'll have to wait exactly - oh I just don't know right now.

A workabout alternative: Yes, one minute starting in exactly five seconds - four, three, two, one - GO!

A notary recently visited me for signing some documents but was unsure of the date. Not me, because it was burning a hole in my head, even without a calender. Now if I had been wearing this magnificent Barozzi edition, my fingernail tapping on the sapphire would have produced irrefutable evidence. A notary must always know the date - well, shouldn't he?

And I perhaps missed out on an opportunity to meet another WIS. How sad!

Otherwise, I prefer to stick with the hole in my head than anything on a watch dial that so obfuscates the display that I can't get the time off it immediately.
