A. Lange & Söhne

Hi everyone,
I was at a local AD today and saw a white gold Lange 1 Timezone. The dial was lighter colored than the platinum, and it had blue hands and a blue strap. The dealer told me there were only 200 of them made.
I don't know much about Lange so I looked on their website but didn't see this particular model. I am very interested in it and would appreciate any information you could share with me on this particular time piece.

But I am not totally sure of the name. I believe the earlier Timezone had Caracus as one of the timezones but Venezuela changed the time difference (?) and Lange replaced it with Buenos Aires. And the model you saw is something to commemorate it? And I am not sure of the number "200". It is NOT the Limited Edition, but maybe limited Production. If the former, the serial number xxx/200 should be on the back, but not sure if anybody can say with certain that the total number will be 200 in this case...

If my recollection is not accurate, please someone chime in and correct! Or you can search the site "Buenos Aires" and there may be some thread about that model. I remember vaguely that it has been discussed....

I believe that all Lange 1 timezones are now produced with Buenos Aires on the watch.  I was told that only 100 of these would be made, but not in a strictly limited collection.  And yes, it is a stunning watch.  Reminds me of another limited edition of the Lange 1 moonphase for a European store with whitish dial and blue hands.

Buenos Aires is used only for the LE.

The Buenos Aires Timezone is a LE of 100 watches.

The usual city which replaces Caracas is Santiago.

Buenos Aires is only used for this LE and replaces Rio de Janeiro used for the "normal" Lange 1 Timezone .

Santiago is still used on the cities ring for the Buenos Aires Timezone. The sequence is: St Georgia - Buenos Aires - Santiago - New York and so on...

Things are a bit complicated !

But for someone who stays in Singapore, I'm little disappointed that HK gets the glory on the dial. I'm secretly hoping that either patek or lange come out with a special Singapore edition...the patek 5130 is my fave but I've been eyeing the timezone by Lange due to the fact it has a date...wonder if they entertain special requests from customers...
