Gents,
Pls advise which one of the two will be the appropriate Lange to buy. I prefer white gold only .

If you prefer white gold you really have only one option of the two models you mention. Lange Timezone only comes in yellow and rose gold and platina. No white gold Timezone exists, to my knowledge. The Grande Lange does come in white gold with a black dial and luminous indexes and is one of the sportier models from the Lange 1 family. If it is a white colored metal you are looking for (which happens to be one of my all time favorite watches), I would look no further than the Timezone in platina. I think it is exquisite, cool and I'd be thrilled to pieces to own one.

Thank you for your feedback though white gold has been made in limited edition of 100 pieces and 200 pieces. It is widely avbl and can be viewed on the luxurybazar website as well.

The TZ is too busy and i never liked it.....I choose the Grande Lange 1 in PT as I think theat it is the Lange watch that represent me the best.Its iconic, and despite the dislike of many puristst as the case is too big for the movement,to me it is the Lange to have as it is a big,solid.platinum beast.I still love it to bits and it makes you feel great when you wear it......

my father had the same problem. but he picked the timezone bcuz it was more usefull and he didnt like the overall look of the grand.

It's still going to be my next purchase.

Timezone is the choice....well even if you are not a frequent traveller.....Timezone.

not the best wrold time watch, but IMHO, better then the grande size L1

Both watches are great but I think Timezone is a better looking watch and more useful, if you travel.

It retains the beautiful symmetry of the L1 centrally and adds useful complications. Having said that the better way to go is an L1 plus a Patek 5110, but I guess that combo is not one of the choices.

To be candid, I don't like the Grand L1. Many companies have made mistakes chasing the large watch fad, and unfortunately Lange is no exception. This watch has an akward dial, nothing like the "standard" L1. Also shows how small changes in proportion can make or break a watch design.

If you want a large watch get the L1 TZ.

Both watches are the same size but I always thought that the dial on the Grand Lange was unbalanced, the date and the seconds ring looks out of place to me. Having the city ring around Timezone dial balances it out for me, the watch is a beauty and I've been think about getting another one again.

I've been a huge Lange fan since I started getting into watch a decade ago and these pictures are simply stunning!  Thank you all for sharing.  And to the OP, I don't think you could go wrong with either.  Both are absolutely beautiful.

I prefer the Timezone for two mains reasons.

First of all, you have an extra and useful complication with the Timezone. And the dial of the Grande Lange 1, even if it was improved with the latest versions, is still a bit unbalanced for my taste.

So Timezone for me.

I think you have convinced me for the Lange 1 TimeZone, I have found one in whitegold limited edition of 100 pcs.

For the Lange Time zone, seeing it next to the Lange 1 , it seems to make the 1 look a bit bare somehow, the timezone looks stunning. Mind you I am liking that moonphase a lot also!
