Guten abend my fellow Lange PuristS,
Not to alarm any of you, the RL PLM is NOT in the house yet, BUT as we get closer to the expected due date ( man i feel like i'm a pregnant lady about to go into labour, LOL) , I am receiving confirmations on an almost daily basis from my AD as to the date when I will receive my RL PLM.
So far, we are looking at either the 1st half, or the 2nd half of July, meaning that it SHALL definitely come in July, just when is the the question.
All should go well, and I will keep you hordes informed.
As a side info, from what i know thus far, Japan ( in particular, it seems only Tokyo) will receive 3 of the PLM in Platinum ( as they seem to be sold out already, all 50 pieces) , one will be mine, another one to a friend that I know, and the 3rd to some guy i don't know, but is a local Lange collector as well.
Alrity guys, stay awake! Just as I am, as we welcome what would truly be a " Marine Chronometer for the Wrist " that has appeared ever since i was born.
Tschuss!
Stephen ( or for my Deutsche Freunden, Stefan)
Stephen:
As a Lange fan I delight in your happiness with your future #7.
I am sure that the anticipation is getting to you by now.
As soon as you get it, your review and wrist shots are a must that very day - please.
All the best! Mark

I will give my review ( not the technical and performance side though, because that will take at least 2 weeks for the watch to go through its mandatory "Stephen's" test, LoL) , and regarding wristshots, I never take on the 1st day i get a watch, cause a watch is not supposed to adorn my wrist until it has finished the 3 full cycles of power reserve depletion. ( Again, my personal principle when it comes to new timepieces, no exceptions)
I just hope my photographic skills improve by then, as you know my current set seem to downplay the watches that i do take shots of!
Cheers
Stephen
Stephen:
Your testing procedures are very interesting. Okay, so no reviews or wrist shots initially. That's ok.
The main thing is that you are happy with your extremely rare time piece and that you wear it in good health and happiness.
Mark
I will let you all know when it is time.
Thank you for being there, it is much and highly appreciated!
Cheers mate!
Stephen
But i LOVE huge watches, and 40mm is just my bare minimum!
Had this PLM been like the 1st one, i definitely would not have pulled on it.
But oh well, to each his own.
Thanks !
Stephen
Congrats again on this one and we all wait with abated breath....
But i'll probably be collecting the piece alone as usual ( i am single with no one yet in my life) so as much as I wish to present you guys a video, who's gonna hold the camera? LoL
I will do what i'v never done before though, I am currently thinking of taking shots at the AD itself that day.
Let's just see shall we?
Cheers and we wait together with high anticipation!
Stephen
If i may say, i'm hell happy for myself too!
This time piece is turning out to be some sort of a God piece here in Japan. Highly respected, and very much adored by all.
But at the end, it's not about showing off that I own such a piece, especially one with such a Perfect number, BUT, is about owning a superlative wristwatch, and moreover, one that epitomises my favourite term, and the theme of my collection afterall, a " Marine Chronometer for the Wrist" .
Cheers and blessings,
Stephen
Stephen:
You figured it out. Since we cannot all fly out to be with you when you pick up the watch from your AD. A video starting with you walking in the door of your AD showing you first see and then taking possession of the watch for the first time would really be fantastic.
I think it would be easier for a third party to actually video the event. If you cannot find anyone locally. I will be available to help you. Just send me a round trip ticket from NY and I will gladly film your event!
Sincerely - Mark
P.S. - it does not have to be a first class ticket. Although for such a long trip, it would be appreciated!
This message has been edited by markieesq on 2009-06-25 10:10:03Mark, if the economy was doing much better, heck i would pay for ALL of you to come over to celebrate with me!
And 1st class is a given!
Stephen
the back while winding it everyday!
And also I might want to allow it to stop more often than not because as you are aware the seconds hand stops at 0 seconds when the power reserve is depleted, no matter the position of the hour and minute hands!
I love it!
Some photos then of the sample piece i got to hold a while back.
Enjoy!
Stephen

or work (if you need to)
I do work, but I don'T play golf!
Hey, isn't winding hand-wound watches daily work? Haha!
Stephen
That should be an interesting reply1stly, i don't own TONNES of Lange, only 2 at the moment.
And my total collection, ( which if you do a little bit more search on the forum you can find a shot of the whole thing, wait, but didn't you reply to that post as well? ) is at a very humble 10 pieces, and I DO wind them ALL on a daily basis. It is my fix in the morning, if I even miss one, I will feel odd that very day.
Boring reply ay? Haha
Stephen
). So beating the daily traffic to go to SDB (Safe Deposit Box in Banks) and wind them, I'll take my hats off to them who follow your footstep
Well, is that the way they do it back home? I haven'T been back so many years already, so for the time being, my watches are with me at home.
Ok, apologies for the mis.
Cheers
Stephen
