Double Split Double the Joy....
No particular reason....just sharing some photos of my favourite watch. I know the double split is sometimes much maligned for its size weight and costs etc...and many would prefer the Dato....but trust me...it's a completely different kind of watch!!

Well, I begin:
As you stated, the weight and the size...
In platinum this is an impressively heavy piece, and if you add the size, maybe not that easy to wear.
But the most problematic for me is that if you're inspired by the Dato when creating the DS, and that seems to be the case, you don't have the same balance.
It's often the case when you start from a case you took from another watch and you make it bigger.
Therefore, the dial.
Look at the Dato Dial...It is very emblematic, pure Lange DNA.
In the DS, the dial is not that emblematic, IMO.
Busy, and not as symmetrical as the " Triangle " of the Dato, Triangle being composed by the Grande Date and the 2 Counters.
As for the movement, this is a Marvel in both cases...
So I would plead " Guilty "..LOL

The Dato is nice, but....
A muscle Dato...
If it is a Lange then it must be perfect. Have no doubt that this is a fabulous watch. I handled it a lot of times and tried it on as well. It is a beauty. Respectfully it is like a Dato on steroids. A muscle version of the Dato.
