I, too, think he is the asset or treasure of Lange and it is exactly the reason why I collect Lange, only Lange. I don't know much about other brands but when something is wrong with my watches, I don't like my watches to be looked at or serviced at some undisclosed location by someone without a face for unspecified period of time.
Fortunately, I live in NYC and work a few blocks from his workshop and I drop by occasionally and chat with him and stacy. Whenever I notice something - say, this one runs too fast - I bring it in, he takes a look at it and diagnoses. Knowing who touches my watch is very assuring, at least to me.
Alkis and Stacy are like my family in NY, since I don't have anyone here. Anyway, I have several Lange and many of them were pre-owned and taken care of by Alkis to the perfect new condition in a reasonable amount of time. Whenever I register those new acquisitions, I contact Lange USA and have Michelle register for me (web site registration is not always in a good mood), and tell her how nice Alkis is, that he is the reason why I keep collecting Lange, and ask her to convery my gratitude to Marcia (President of Lange USA) as well. Group thing is also a good idea, but each one of us can do the same whenever we feel that. Either way, it will be good for Alkis.
Best,
Ken

I'm not surprised at all, I'm just pleased!
Count in me!
Best.

Alkis is A. Lange & Sohne to me. He keeps all of mine going and is a great guy too. Stacy is a real sweet heart as well. I live in the boondocks of Charlotte , N.C. A Lange Dealer- less waste land. With out Alkis support, I would be lost.
Count me in!
