Confused. How does it work?

I mean the world time and such. Seems like there are a lot of dials. The little ones with the blue outline?

I think I remember that the blue little blue dials are day/night indicators. When the pointer is on the blue part, it's night time. Those two little indicators work independent of each other and are tied to their respective larger time dials.
The pointer at 5 on the smaller dial indicates the Timezone location. As the button on the case is pushed the ring and the hour hand on the small dial moves to indicate the time and location of the second timezone, as compared to your hometime.
I think that's the way it works.

It makes a little more sense now with your explanation.

This Lange is one of the more under-appreciated in the US, though I am told it is quite popular in Asia and Europe.  When I first acquired mine, it was one of the watches I thought had been a mistake.  It took me several months to appreciate the piece, and it is now a favorite--among many, but still a favorite.  It is unusual as both a world time and a dual timer.
