This is not the most hype Lange or the most sought after Lange. BUT, in my eyes, one of the most beautiful, and among my favourite watches.

These complications don't speak to me.
I like the dial layout of the Patek 5396 or 5205 a little better, but they're far from my favorite watches.
The blue "sunglasses" moonphase of the LF looks ridiculous to me.

I did try it on once long back. But I think I was jetlagged and took terrible photos. I want to try both the Saxonia 37 mm and the 1815 38.5 mm - both in rose gold.
I also like the Richard Lange central seconds - but a big big. If only it had a tad reduced dimensions...

I also think that the RL is too big.
Also I don't like the architecture of the L041.2 caliber, with the small additional bridge over the 3/4 plate: totally unappealing to me.

As far as a black dial, could be more dramatic, but I really
like the dial on yours. Must bring a smile to your face each
time you put it on. Here's a question - what's the ratio of
looking at it for the time, and looking at it as the work of art it is?
It is not mine. I tried it on during Dubai Watch Week. But I really like it. I would be happy to own it. It would complement my Lange 1 very well.

I think I see what you see in this model. I particularly like the pink gold base at the cannon pinion which is unique to this piece - and certainly to the 1815 line.
I owned this exact reference for several years - but I released it when, as much as I loved it, I had to be honest with myself that I could no-longer read the sub-indices. Though an annual calendar not a perpetual calendar, it reminded me of the old saying that "by the time you can afford a perpetual calendar, you can no longer read one".
I miss it, but I have retained the three-hand 1815, and the 1815 Up / Down - both in pink gold - to console me and scratch the irresistible and charming 1815 itch.
