I’m only referring to the maintenance factor for white gold. The rhodium coating makes things difficult if I do something stupid and damage the casing.
But you’re right that the copper dial goes perfectly with a silver case. The blue from the sun/moon contrasts really nicely with the rest of the watch. Thanks again!

White gold is going to be coated with something, which makes fixing up case dings a little harder. Platinum would be better for maintenance, but it’s crazy heavy.

No, Lange's white gold is not coated or plated.
Rhodium-plated white gold was more common years ago. Lange never did that, though. They always used white gold with a high enough palladium content such that it didn't need plating. So your WG Lange is not coated or plated in any way. And if you ever do damage the case in a way that bothers you, Lange can return it to factory-fresh condition in most cases.
