Yup, (B) is full!!! What about (a), fully empty or partially empty? :-)
(B) is full because the longer tooth of the center wheel is locked with the shallower slot of the outer wheel, so it cannot be wound further (during winding, the outer wheel rotates clockwise relative to the center wheel). Stopworks is preventing overwinding in this case!
[Sidenote - movement is hacked in this case, as can be seen by the blocking lever touching the balance wheel (in the original figure).]
(A) is partially wound in the sense that ...
the center wheel can further unwind one full revolution before the longer tooth engages with the shallower slot. (Note that unwinding takes place via clockwise rotation of the center wheel relative to the outer wheel).
HOWEVER, in case of Zeitwerk, the movement is stopped when there is not enough power to switch the discs, which happens BEFORE the spring is fully unwound. Movement stoppage is implemented by a blocking lever as shown in the image below. This is the same lever that hacks the movement when the crown is pulled out.
So, even though (A) is partially wound, on the dial side PR indicator shows empty ("AB").

I tried but failed to figure it out. I never noticed that one tooth was longer and one gap was shallower. I need to look at the movement under magnification while I wind it -- something to look forward to!
