The Triple Split seems more logical to me. It would be useful for timing up to 24 hours as one is not likely to forget the 12 hour hand has gone around once already. [nt]
Haven't Seen the Triple irl, but judging from Pictures and tech sheet....

I'd Go with the triple split. It's got the same diameter and is only .3 mm thicker than the double split, which is very little for a watch that's already above 15mm. The White gold case should make it less heavy than a Platinum one, which helps wearability for such a large watch. Also, I'm Not a big fan of roman numerals, which is the reason why I prefer the dial of the triple to the (Platinum) Double. Judgment can of course be very different on the wrist.
There is only one thing wrong with the double split

Triple split’s existence. I’ve long considered the double split my grail watch, but knowing that the triple split exists has dampened that feeling.
From a value for money perspective, a DS can be had for less than half the money for a TS (if you can find one) but is it half the watch? I don’t think so.
