This is my first time posting with photos. I have owned the orig. datograph for years, love the watch, but have found it a little top heavy. I was in a store in TriBeCa in New York City recently and a ss bracelet caught my eye. This looked so similar to the Lange plat bracelet. I called the company and ordered the 20mm. This is a game changer. The bracelet totally balances the watch. I have been wearing it every day for 3 weeks. I absolutely love this combination for comfort and aesthetics.

I thought the same thing but the edges are buttery smooth. And the expert who put the bracelet on and who knows Lange watches very well assured me it would not damage the lugs. And I would say the movement of the bracelet is very smooth so this is not even a thought.

One of my favorite watches, but I don't think I could justify a bracelet (ss or pt) for it.

Thanks Mr. White. I know this was not the intent for the watch, but it really works for me. Maybe it's my preference toward bracelets with heavier watches.

For me persona;;y, the bracelet doesn't work as I am used to it without. But I do understand and appreciate the change of pace. Enjoy it, looks great.

I like the new look. I used to own the RG Dato silver dial but sold it away. I had same feeling like you that the watch always top  heavy feeling when wear with leather strap. 

Thanks Mineral. The dato is on the sporty side. Something gravitates me to leather for dress and metal for sport. And with this ss bracelet, I do not feel the leaning of the watch, even though the bracelet is loose. It just feels more balanced on the wrist, and I like the look.

I’d spring for the matching platinum bracelet but this suffices nicely too! Congrats and ENJOY!

BABKA, thanks for your confidence in my ability to pay for a platinum bracelet. lol. But of course, ss is lighter on the pocket and wrist.

Like yourself, I've loved the look of the ALS platinum, but cannot justify price.  I recently picked up a Beads of Rice myself, for this same watch, but the bracelet is smaller than the bar, and doesn't taper, and it ruins the look for me... would you mind sharing the store name or manufacturer name (PM if would prefer) as I may very well follow suit.

It is Shinola bracelet. I brought it to Alkis the authorized repair lange guy. He approved.

I very much like your Dato bracelet combo, congrats! I've noticed your comment that the bracelet is from Shinola, but would like to check again to be sure. Is it their standard 20MM STAINLESS STEEL 5-LINK Bracelet for 200? To me it looks different on their site (less classy) than on your pics. Thanks in advance. Semyon.

Yes Semyon, that's it. It does look a little different in their photo and the links look a little shorter, and there are black horizontal lines on each link on their photo, but that's probably just a reflection. I never get tired of this bracelet and it should look in real life how my photo looks. And thanks for the compliment.
