After two years of chasing the grail, I have finally obtained it
I first walked into a Lange boutique in early 2016 and came to know about the brand and its time pieces. After falling in love with a 1815 U/D and the Lange 1 two years back, I have been dreaming of owning one ever since.
Finally my dream of owning my grail came true today. I need to sell my relatively new Grand Seiko SBGH267 to help fund it which is abit of a regret. However I am now a very proud owner of a white gold Lange 191.039. My first Lange and I am over the moon.😍 This is definitely a permanent keeper in my small collection!

I used to think I would want the pink gold L1 but after seeing the WG model, I much prefer it as I feel it is less dressy and more versatile for my lifestyle.

Only one Lange (1815 MP in HG)
Only one Patek Ellipse 3738 from 2008, a Rolex Kermit, a Rolex SD anniversary, a Zenith P15, an Omega Seamaster 300 from 2004, an Edo split second chrono from the 60ies made by Dubey Schaldenbrand (the most inexpensive way to own asplit second chrono), a Tissot PR 516 from 1980 and a Junghans Max Bill.

The Lange 1 is an icon, and a great way to start your collection. Your first, and definitely not the last!

Funnily I was thinking about the Lange 1 today too. I find that the Lange 1 is one of the most iconic models apart from the Datograph. Only problem is that there too many permutations out there. I don’t know which one I should set my target on ! I welcome any and every input though 
If money is not an issue, the Datograph without a doubt will be my choice
However the Lange 1 is also a very recognisable and iconic piece in the Lange family. So you can’t go wrong with it. Any Lange IMO is a unique piece and well worth the money for their quality.

My preference is towards the Lange 1 moonphase but of the all the Lange 1's my favorite has always been this one in white gold with the slate dial........

Slate grey dials are always very classy. Was looking at the blue dialed Lange 1 today. It’s quite a nice permutation.

Yes the Lange 1 is definitely an icon and I feel it is quite an under-rated watch, at least in Singapore.
Hope this will not be my last Lange but for the time being I am a happy man. So it’s time to stop the buying and just relax and enjoy my current watches! 😎

The Lange 1 to me is their most iconic piece. My first Lange was also a Lange 1 but with the moonphase. Watch how fast one Lange becomes two or three! Wear it well!
