Just returned from the AD, where I have put my name in for the new L1 moon phase (WG, black dial). John Lennon said that "life is what happens to you as you're making other plans." That may apply here. I saw a RG 1815 up down in the case and quite like it. I can only buy one (there are limits to my profligacy). Should I buy the 1815 now or await the L1 moon phase)?
But the L1 moonphase is stunning. The new L1 MP in WG and on either the standard black strap or a dark brown croc strap (controversial?) is all the watch a gentleman could ever ask for.
Doesn't matter whether it's the first version of the L1 MP which took me by surprise in RG - I don't like coloured metals, or at least I didn't think I did till I tried it on - or the new one in WG with black dial, from pictures, which looks just as fantastic. Stick with it, I say!
BUT let's not forget that a lot of people are not millionaires. And sometimes it's difficult remembering that when looking around on PuristSPro... Too many people with too many watches.
ALS surely hit a winner with this one. The combination of black dial against the WG casing is magnificent, and is surely more than a match than the 1815 U/D
