that for this watch I prefer the hands of the PT version.

But I chose this for the blued hands, and because I think it's more legible. I also prefer the boutique edition of the Richard Lange in terms of aesthetics even though I have the platinum version. Beauty as they say is in the eye of the beholder.

to me it looks like a fake Lange not something that they have made. It should have blued hands
not painted, now it looks cheap IMHO.

I love Lange watches but this is not my cup of tea.

flat and painted at the pics and not blued as Lange use to do.

I know that for a fact because I own a 1815 MP as well. And the hands are not flat. The blue and appearance change with the lighting. In any event this model has been around since year 2010 so I'm not so sure what you meant by "not what Lange used to make". Regard Ian

I'm asking because the photos here in this post are a bit deceiving. In the photos here, the dial looks white and the hands look bright blue. In person, the dial looks very silver (not white) and the hands are darker and blend in better with that silver dial.

I have found that silver-dial Langes (such as the 101.022, the 101.027X, and this Saxonia AC), as well as Langes with MOP dials, are practically impossible to capture accurately in our amateur static photos. See pics below of a Lange that really DOES have a white dial (not silver dial) and blue hands, and how the hand colors "changed" from one photo to the next.

and the pic was the reason I speak up, not try to tell OP it's a fake. I have browsing around and most
of the pic out there is misleading. I guess it's a hard watch to shot and get correct result, mostly it looks
like the dial is white and the hands looks flat and painted. The best pic I can find is this one the shows how
the watch looks in real.

Where the lighting is poor or does not show the other "sides" of the watch. The pic you have posted is an example of that. As an owner, I can tell you the watch looks very different under natural lighting or under sunlgiht. My pics are taken with my phone camera and very little post processing, if any, is done. Here's another example... It does not differ from what my eyes had seen when I took this pic. If anything, the pic doesn't do justice to it. And as I've been telling my fellow collector friends, the 1815 MP takes on an entirely different form when it's under the sunlight.

but I still will say at your first pic the watch looks wrong (I know it's a genuine Lange) where the dial looks
white and the hand flat painted blue. I have put together your pics and from Lange's website where you
can see the differences and maybe understand why I react.

Not many of us are experts in watch photograph. Jocke you definitely are one of the best amongst us (i always only use my iPhone to be honest as I enjoy watches but not photography).

Actually I am surprised on your first post to Ian on his Lange looks "fake" when you later clarified that you knew it was not a fake. I guess you are making a point about watch photography.

Just also consider many of us are not experts in watch photography and are just watch lovers sharing our photos here. Hope you enjoy these photos even if our photo quality is not as great

Sometimes my swenglish is lost in translation so maybe I sounds more forward than I am.
I was saying it looks like a fake, not it is. To me it looks wrong at the pic and as I say it's the pic that fool the eye.
I guess it's hard to present how the watch look IRL. I hope I don't have hurt Ian's feelings, if so I apology for that.

It is such a beautiful watch and tough to capture on photos hence the discussions we had here.

I wish I could take nice photos like you too - just I am too lazy on the equipments lol! I admire your GO pics especially! Those blued hands... Wow!

Ian is a gentleman and I am sure he understands

We are all friendly PuristS and friends here. We chat freely yet respect each others' opinions even when different. That is what I like about this virtual home.

CR is spot on as usual. Here is a wristshot of my AC which I think pretty accurately captures the color of the dial and hands.
