Hello everyone! Just wanted to share my new found interest in a brand I would have never considered. As a collector of fine watches, I've been fortunate to enjoy several nice pieces from my top three favorite brands: Rolex, Patek and AP.

After setting eyes on my first Lange on advise from a friend, I was instantly mesmerized by the quality and incredible movement of the new RG up/down Datograph. I took the leap of faith, and ventured outside of my usual three brands and took the watch home. It's been a while since I've had such excitement in acquiring a new watch.. I absolutely adore her. It brings back memories of the first time I purchased and brought home a used Patek 5070P from an auction.

The two questions I have now is why I haven't discovered this brand earlier, and which piece from Lange I would like to add next!

As far as what to look for next ... you came to the right place.   Can you provide some additional details about your preferences -- size, dial color, case material, complications, openness to purchasing discontinued/preowned models, or whatever else comes to mind?

And it looks really perfect on your wrist.

I adore this model very much. No Lange has joined my collection so far. I feel I have to revise this immediately.

I'm pleased and rather surprised how it blends in well with a Polo shirt and jeans. Very versatile, and striking watch indeed. It hasn't been rotated off my wrist since 2 weeks ago.

it really seems to be suitable for almost every situation in life.

For my taste this can be said of only a few watches with a RG case.

With this beauty it works perfectly. IMHO .

Easy to get hooked on Lange with so many great pieces, and such incredible movements and craftsmanship.

Don't know what other pieces you have, but the Richard Lange is a terrific piece, especially the white gold boutique version with the blued steel hands. The rose gold and platinum versions are very special as well.

About your question, I would go to a Richard Lange. 3 hands watch, central second hand, a beautiful handwind movement... you would have a superb duo!

Just checked it out at my AD and was told that it's rather hard to come by. Beautiful, simple, and well executed piece. Will definitely add it to the list of future Lange purchases.

As for the next, everybody here has his/her favorites, but what I would tell you is: any piece is great and you can't go wrong with a Lange. Old or new-you will be happy!

I hope to post some incoming shots soon. One thing for sure, it's becoming difficult to just own one Lange!

If you ask me, I would add the Lange1 next. Not such an amazing movement but the true Icon of Lange.

Appreciate all the supportive comments. With so many wonderful examples from Lange, it's hard to go wrong.

Tried on the Time Zone in platinum at my Lange AD this afternoon and was absolutely taken by it. I'm trying to compare other Lange offerings to this model as a second Lange alternative. Since I frequently travel to different time zones for my line of work and vacation, the second time zone is useful.

Here's a photo of the watch (not mine, hope it's okay to share). The RG version is also killer.

The Timezone would be a great choice for your second Lange, especially if you travel.  I would agree that a Dato and a representative of the Lange 1 family would be obvious obligatory models for a Lange collection, and next (not necessarily in this order) a Richard Lange, one of the Langematiks ( including Anniversary Limited Edition, Langematik Perpetual, Annual Calendar, etc.), and then perhaps a Zeitwerk.

WIth regard to the Lange 1 Timezone, you might also consider the WG version, my personal favorite:

it has to be a lange one. or a zeitwerk

It's an interesting dial that manages to appear complicated yet easy to read and understand at the same time. At 42mm and Platinum, I feel that it's possible to pull off in both dressy or casual attire.. Great all around watch!

Yes, Lange is a brand that should be recognized more. And will be with time I presume.

Its fame is already strong within the people interested by watchmaking and I hope it will conquer new ranges of people.

And welcome to the growing group of Lange fans. The Datograph is an iconic watch and the movement is mesmerizing. I adore my "Albino"
