Breguet

I am interested on Breguet Marine model 5817ST (blue dial).

How do you compare bracelet and rubber. This last is a good investment?

I generally prefer the contrast of black and gold to full-metal watches and the rubber straps today esp.of exclusive brands are quite nice.Therefore I would take the rubber.

Although it does look good with rubber, i recently saw one with a deep blue croc leather strap, and it was striking. it seemed more unique then the sliver dialed marines that i have seen with black leather strap. and i love the detail of the coin edge.

But listen to DRMW, go to a Breguet boutique, and try them out.

I have the watch with:

S/S Bracelet

Black rubber strap

Brown Croc strap

 

I alternate, using the rubber strap on vacations and summer.

I prefer this watch on a leather strap followed closely by the bracelet. To me, a watch of this caliber shouldn't be on a rubber strap. I hope some of this photo's help.

leather for the Marine. I've never found rubber to be comfortable. And while I generally like bracelets, I just find that to my tastes my 5817 looks better with the alligator strap. I actually bought the watch with the bracelet and changed.
