Just a thought to share....How two opposition companies can work together for you.
There is often discussion about watch packaging which is usually based around the price of watches being unnecessarily increased to accommodate fine packaging.... which is usually stored in an attic by collectors and owners of multiple watches.....who usually keep their expensive watches in a safe.
Fact is Packaging, even for the most expensive watches is miniscule compared to the watch price.
However....I like the packaging...especially the Breguet and Rolex timber boxes, but I also like the traditional Breitling Bakelite boxes and what comes inside..... apart from the watch.
What I find indispensable is Breitling’s soft inner case concealed in the Breitling Bakelite packaging.... not to be confused with IWC’s 'soft' iron inner case concealed inside the outer watch case.
These Breitling soft cases are the greatest for travelling as they are compact and protect the watch especially as they prevent chafing against the case back.
Another use I have for the Breitling soft case is to display a favourite watch that I might not be using... but like to view on my desk.... and by folding the flap under, these Breitling soft cases make a great desk display.
I don’t think Breitling designed them for Breguet or Rolex etc....but they fit
.....and merged together they are a great team.
Kindest regards,
Jack

Hi Jack,
That Breguet Marine, with its uncluttered dial, does make an excellent desk clock. But you know what they say about a man with two watches … he never really knows what time it is.
Now I also have a visual picture of where you are sitting reading and posting. My desk, I promise you, is a cluttered mess (worse than yours I suspect Tassos, as I sometimes cannot even find my keyboard); I would be too embarrassed to post an image.
I applaud your use of the Breitling packaging, but we better not tell Breitling about it.
Andrew
Hi Andrew,
I dont think they read our ramblings...and if they did...I am sure they would not admit it
And my desk is only clean because my wife gave me a hard time a few days ago when she could not see the timber top...so don't worry about yours or Tassos.
Besides anybody with a clean desk does not really do any work.
Kindest regards,
Jack.
I guess sometimes an old sock has it's advantages and I feel great when a thief misses out.
Kindest regards,
Jack
