Many years ago, before Grand Seiko became a relatively common occurrence in watch circles, lots of the history was only known to a select few outside of Japan.
Grand Seiko 4580-7000 VFA
The end of 2019 was lucky for me as I was able to find a 4580 VFA. It's currently away for servicing but here's a photo of it "as found".
