I am offering for sale my personal Vacheron Constantin Les Historiques Ultra-fine 1955. It is in mint condition and remains under the original manufacture warrantee through May 2014 (originally purchased new from an AD in May 2012). All boxes, papers and accessories included.
At 36mm, the Ultra-fine 1955 is super thin (4.13mm thick) and truly elegant, a perfect dress watch — understated elegance at its best. The best way to describe the 18K 4N pink gold of the case is that is somewhere between rose and yellow gold, a wonderfully warm and unique color.
The legendary ultra-thin caliber 1003 movement has a 31-hour power reserve, 18 jewels, 117 parts and runs at a rate of 18,000 vph (2.5Hz). The bridges and mainplate are crafted from 18K gold, which can be admired through the sapphire crystal case back, and the movement features the “Hallmark of Geneva.” Both the movement and the dial seem to glow from a light within.
The strap is in black Mississippi alligator with an 18K yellow gold pin buckle. Water-resistance is 30 meters.
I am offering the 1955 for sale only because I have an opportunity to buy another watch I have been hunting. If I can figure out a way to purchase the next one without selling the 1955, or if the watch I am after is sold before I can buy it, I will keep the 1955 and take it off the market.
