Extremely rare and beautiful black dial Vacheron & Constantin Chronomètre Royal. This black dial was very probably a customer's special order. "Chronomètre Royal" Vacheron & Constantin, Genève, "Chronomètre Royal", No. 5092xx, case No. 3469xx, Ref. 6111. Made in 1956. Very fine and rare, water-resistant, 18K yellow gold gentle-man's wristwatch with hacking center-seconds. Case: Three-body, solid, polished, flat bezel, screw-down back, faceted lugs. Dial: Black dial with applied yellow gold indexes, outer minute divisions. Yellow gold "alpha" hands. Movement: Cal. 1008/BS, stamped with the Geneva Seal,rhodium-plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 19 jewels, straightline lever escapement, beryllium balance with timing screws,adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and five positions, shock-absorber, Breguet balance-spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator,with visible balance stop lever. Brand new unworn and hand-made black crocodile strap. Original Vacheron & Constantin 18K yellow gold buckle. Dial, case and movement signed.Diam. 35 mm. Payment by wire transfer.
