comment I am offering an almost impossible to find watch:
URBAN JURGENSEN 18K YELLOW GOLD REFERENCE 2, SELF-WINDING PERPETUAL CALENDAR WITH MOONPHASE.

The movement
Selfwinding mechanical movement
Cal. Frédéric Piguet 71 nickel-finished lever movement, 35 jewels, engine-turned 21K gold rotor,
Power reserve: 44 hours, 35 jewels, 18’000 A/h
Diameter: 27,9 mm; Thickness 2,4 mm
Decorated movement, winding mass in 21 ct gold, fine engine-turned

Case, hands and dial
Case in 18 ct yellow gold, hand finished, sapphire crystal, snap-on back.
Massive silver fine engine-turned and polished dial. (The handmade dial is genuine guilloché) Roman numerals on blank chapter ring, two subsidiary dials for moon phases and date, two windows for day and month, circular case, stepped bezel, snap on back, teardrop lugs
Urban Jürgensen buckle, case, dial and movement signed
Diameter 38 mm; Thickness 9 mm
Typical Urban Jürgensen-hands, but rare handmade in 18 ct. gold and blued steel.

Strap and buckle
Hand-sewn leather strap (alligator or crocodile). The original strap is included plus another croc strap which is on the watch now
Buckle in 18 ct. solid gold Urban-Jurgensen tang.
Reference 2 is the classic Urban Jürgensen with Perpetual calendar, (172 pieces made in gold).
Box is rosewood and the interior is ostrich leather..
Certificate and Instruction booklet incuded.

Although the watch has a solid gold snap on back, which is included; the movement is lovely to look at as well. So I had a watchmaker make up a matching gold/sapphire exhibition back which you can see in the photo.
One other important comment. These watches rarely come up for sale or auction and those that do have the solid gold hands. This one is rarer in that it has the gold-blued steel hands. I have never seen another one and there likely not many at all. They no longer make these hands for the Reference 2 although according to the U-J website they can still be had with the Reference 8.

hank you for your kind... hank you for your kind words.
Its even better with the exhibition back that I had made. The
movement is exquisite.
As far as I know there is no indicator for the leap year. I believe
it was factory-set. Its never been wrong so far.
