Hello Gentlemen, For sale, is an ultra rare Rolex 16520 Zenith PORCELAIN Daytona Mk1. It is the very first of the Zenith Daytonas and is considered the rarest and grail of this era. Very few were ever produced and numbers have been estimated to be around 50-100 ever produced. What makes this special is the Porcelain dial…the Mk1 floating Cosmograph were produced around 1987 and very few were produced during the first year. Of those all those Mk1 Floatings including white and black, the very first few were white Porcelain dials, making this ultra rare and the most collectible of the Zeniths. This particular example is one of the finest examples in the world and one of the most complete sets out there. Dial: The Porcelain dial is considered by many serious collectors as the “grail” of Zenith Daytonas. The effect comes from a process where a special coating is applied onto the dial before the wording is printed. This gives it a true floating effect of the print. In addition, the look is similar to pearl gloss look. The dial on this piece is as perfect as they come…simply FLAWLESS! Bezel: The Mk1 “200” bezel is flawless and in unpolished condition. Perfect in every way with all print intact. Case: This particular example has never been polished before even though it went through 2 RSC services in the past with only it’s movement overhauled both times.
