Description

This watch, since returned from Patek Philippe servicing centre in end of 2014 has not been worn and is still in the Patek Philippe's plastic seal. The Calatrava-Travel Time Ref. 5134 is a very practical travel companion. It is innovative yet eminently legible, the dial shows the time in second time zone by means of an additional golden hour hand. A sub-dial beneath the "12" shows day or night in the second time zone. When not in use, the two hands lie on top of one another. Pressing the push-piece at "8" advances the black hand i.e. second time zone hand forward and the push-piece at "10" will cause the second time zone hand to retreat by increments of one hour per push. The design resembles the vintage Patek Philippe Dual Time Zone Ref. 2598. Inside the watch ticks the Patek Philippe’s classic manual-winding Caliber 215PS FUS24H which composed of 178 individual components and is stamped with the seal of Geneva's high quality hallmark. It beats at 28,800 vph and has a 44 hour power reserve. Patek Philippe patented Gyromax balance and18K gold Patek Philippe deployant clasp. Watch comes with Patek Philippe Certificate of Original but the interior box is oxidized hence I would sell the watch without boxes. Watch was returned from Patek Philippe servicing centre in Singapore after a complete service (without polishing as it does not require one). Condition of the strap is about 97-98%. My price for this timepiece is now reduced to US$14,000 or S$18,500. I accept bank wire transfer and will ship worldwide. Interested buyers may message me for more pictures (taken before the servicing) or questions. I am presently based in Singapore, hence a face-to-face deal may be arranged for buyer in Singapore.

📖 About This Reference

The Calatrava reference 5134 is a travel time model, distinguished by its dual time zone functionality within the classic Calatrava aesthetic. It features a second hour hand for tracking a home time zone, a complication that enhances its utility for collectors who appreciate understated travel watches. This reference represents a continuation of Patek Philippe's tradition of offering practical complications in a refined, dress-watch format, appealing to those who seek functionality without overt sportiness. This reference is typically presented in a 37mm case, available in various precious metals. It houses the manual-winding Caliber 215 PS FUS, a movement known for its slim profile and reliability. The watch is fitted with a sapphire crystal, providing clear visibility of the dial and protecting the intricate mechanics. The design maintains the clean lines characteristic of the Calatrava collection, ensuring legibility for both local and home time indications. The 5134 appeals to collectors interested in Patek Philippe's approach to the travel time complication, particularly those who prefer a manually wound movement. It offers a more contemporary alternative to earlier travel time references while retaining the traditional Calatrava design language. The various metal options and dial configurations provide choices for different collector preferences, making it a versatile piece within the brand's complicated offerings.

PP 5134G -- please share your thoughts with me
The Patek Philippe 5134G watch is scrutinized for its visual appeal, specifically the thickness, while favoring earlier models with Breguet numerals in white gold.

Three's enough
I must admit and I am sure owners with travel time agreed, they are one of the best companion on travel to different time zones, at a press of the button and with home time unchanged. My first was 5164A and the last, 5990A in 2019 when we can travel freely without c19 restrictions. The 5134G-001 was

Yin or Yang?
Even though compared to the 5196p I know the Patek Travel Time 5134p is not a commonly favored model (although we’ve had a couple of beautiful postings recently), I was still curious to see what you all thought of the following matchup of the white/silver dial versus the black dial (LE for Gubelin s
