Regrettably I will be selling my beloved and rare Patek Philippe 5970 "White Gold" Perpetual Chronograph (to parlay funds towards another big watch purchase).
I am the original owner of the 5970G, purchased new, from my Patek Authorized dealer. The watch is absolutely MINT !!!!!, LNIB, worn less then a dozen times, very, very carefully (as I treat all my watches). I would rate the watch a 10/10 (please refer to pics below)
The 5970, especially in the highly covetted "White Gold" version is considered by many collectors as one of the most beautiful watches ever produced by this highly revered watch manufacturer. In fact, bold statement, I believe the 5970G is the most beautful contemporary watch ever produced, regardless of price or additional complications.
Brief history of the 5970:
Introduced in Basel, in the spring of 2004, this model was able to incorporate features of past Pateks, but now housed in a more modern case size. Measuring 40 mm, this watch definitely has a presence, but still remains sublime in its classic appearance.
The dial is borrowed from Patek’s “golden age” (very similar to the 1518) with a beautiful steely silver hue dial, feuille hands and tachymeter. This model was immediately very well received and met with quite a bit of popularity amongst collectors, resulting in fairly long waiting lists. It houses the famed lemania based movement, caliber CH 27-70 Q, 23 jewels, Lemania based, manually wound.
The 5970 "White Gold" comes complete:
1. Patek original box
2. Patek original outter box
3. Patek "Certificate of Origin"
4. Patek additonal solid case-back, stylus, card board watch box, and plastic packaging.
5. Patek leather wallet, booklets, etc...
6. Patek "unworn" original brown aligator strap
7. Patek navy blue strap, that is presently on the watch, Free of charge
8. Unworn High- end custom strap (brown), Free of charge.
The Patek Philippe 5970 White Gold is no longer available through Patek . As such , due to it's rarity (very short production run ) and sheer beauty, the 5970G has become one of the "hottest" Patek's in the market, and thus highly sought after by serious Patek collectors.
Given the value of this incredible master-piece, and rarity, a face to face transaction is highly recommended.
