Jaeger LeCoultre E

Up for sale is my Jaeger LeCoultre Geomatic E399/1 from 1969.

I am reluctantly letting this go as I have a couple of incoming pieces.

This is one of the later models of the Geomatic range from JLC with the K883S movement. Only 300 of these pieces were made with this chronometre movement in stainless steel, making it a very rare and sought after watch.

The watch itself is in amazing condition, with only the smallest bump on the side of the case (which you can barely see). The dial is impeccable, the crown is original and signed, the hands are untouched and in great shape. The case back is in great shape too, with the 14k gold JLC logo and the case number perfectly visible - no wear at all. The Tritium applications are all intact. A fantastic piece in (pretty much) NOS condition! 

  I have seen a few Geomatic chronometer watches for sale. However, not many examples with the K883S movement come up for sale. The Geomatic' for sale usually have the much more common K881G movement. This is one of the best examples of the K883S both in condition of the case and the condition of the movement I have ever seen. The watch was serviced in May 2016, so won't need another for a few years. It runs as it should (at chronometer specs) and the date changes over at midnight exactly - again, as it should.
