Hermes Vintage - Manual Wind

Up for sale is an early 1940's Hermes round shaped manual wind watch with an acrylic bubble crystal. It is cased in stainless steel and has a snap-on caseback. The dial is original as you can tell by the patina. The watch measures 34mm in diameter and 40mm in length (from lug to lug). It comes on a brown calfskin strap with croc. print that measures 7.8 inches. The piece is signed "Hermes" on the dial and has some numbering on the movement. It comes without box and papers. The watch is running and keeping good time. However, as with all vintage pieces, do not expect this to run as accurately as a modern-day quartz watch or even a modern chronometer. Vintage pieces keep good time, but are by no means as consistent as modern watches. THIS PIECE IS NOT WATER RESISTANT. This is a fun watch but is not recommended for everyday wear. It may also be necessary to wind old watches once a day. They do not typically have the same power-reserves as modern watches either. Watch is sold "As-is".
