The lume on the current dial is no good and the NOS dial I bought is brand new.  I want to be able to read the time in the dark.  If it's such a hassle, I guess I can wait 2 more years and get the dial change when I need to send this watch to Bienne for a service.

Q on Speedmaster 125 Dial Change

 By: MonkeyMagic8 : June 27th, 2008-22:35
Hi, I just bought a new Speedmaster 125 Dial NOS. I am going to swap out the old dail on my Speedmaster 125 with this NOS dial. I would like to know, whether it is a hard job to change the dial on this watch or is it best to send the watch back to Bienne ...

the original dial looks nice to me....

Hi MonkeyMagic8 The watch looks great . Why would you want to swap out that dial ? Any watchmaker worth his salt should be able to swap the dial out for you. But again I would not open this watch.... Good Hunting Bill Sohne

I would leave it too - looks great!

And if the new dial is truly "NOS" its likely doesn't glow any more either. If it's a luminova dial of more recent manufacture, swapping it out would destroy the originality in my opinion. If you must have glowing lume, a watch of more modern manufacture ...

Thanks, Ryan
