Could you let us know the serial number and the reference number off of the back? As you may know, there is now a superb reference for these in the form of Sala's Universal Watch Geneve. It does not cover all the dial variations, but certainly gives one the sense of what is plausible.

Of these,and I have one from 1944, but I cant recall ever seeing the 3 buttons protuding out of the case before. All the examples I've seen, the buttons are recessed - pls see picture below ( borrowed from internet). Is this a later model? Cheers, Paul ...

I believe the dial to be original. There is a very similar dial documented in the UG archives for case reference 22263, with enough idiosyncrasies shared with this one that it is hard to believe it is not from the same dial makers. In addition, the fonts ...

...but according to my (very knowledgeable) watchmaker, a very high quality one. Just got the watch back from him today and besides every function now working perfectly (and will for years to come), it's keeping COSC spec timing (at least for a while ;-))...
