Omega Mark X
Next up is my Omega Mark X - dating from 1945 - it has been through the wars a bit (literally) but it is still in remarkable condition. The serial number on the case back puts it at around half way through the production run which took place between February and May 1945. These watches never took part in WW2 but were used in the various conflicts between 1945 and when they were finally retired in (I believe) 1981 - when quartz took over.

I suppose it depends on whether you like to say WWW or Mark 10 - one slips off the tongue easier than the other. I like to use Mark 10 as it signifies that the watch was part of a series - the Mark 7 (6B159) the Mark 8 (6B/234) the WWW Mark 10 and the Mar...
