I was in San Francisco recently and went to check out the Hour Vision at the watch-store on Market. Disappointed to find none. I was in Singapore 4 days ago and went to the two well-known stores on Orchid Road. Again that I had to explain about the watch ... 

The models are launched at Basel, but it's often June-July before they actually appear at retailers in most markets, which is often the first awareness retailers have of the new models. Nothing new.

Normally, retailers are the last to be informed about new models, which results in the embarassing situation, that they are completely clueless when people ask them about the details of the novelties. Regards, Marcus

The Hour Vision with its in-house caliber was widely announced months ago. Any retailer ought to at least glance at the web page every few months. It's perfectly acceptable to not have a delivery date as they have little control over when Omega decides to... 

Thanks for your inputs - I feel much better now that I know more of the model than the sales staff who are absolutely clueless of the Hour Vision. This is very different to the car salesmen who know and can talk about the new models before they are delive... 

I took delivery of an Omega DeVille Hour Vision watch today. 18k Rose Gold and sapphire case, dark brown Alligator band. I love it! It's a work of art, both aesthetically and horologically.
