I first got interested in the central tourbillon concept when I saw a friend's Haldimann H1 but the H1 being outta my league but still being interested in a central tourbillon, I chanced upon this:
I believe only Omega and Haldimann have central tourbillons but if I'm wrong, please let me know who else offers a central tourbillon.
I've googled and found some excellent articles here on the Omega Central Tourbillon. Just wondering if there are any Purist owners who still have one and if you have any feedback good or bad to share on this piece. I know its rather thick and has a solid back.
Looking at this piece and talking to many in the know, I agree with their comments that this is a very under-rated piece if anything becuase of the omega brand being known for more mass market watches.
The central tourbillon of course does nothing more for accuracy over a non-central tourbillon I think but the central concept just adds that little bit extra that makes it more interesting to me. The application of the hands also have some novelty value to me
Thanks in advance.
