OK- I am never jealous of anyone getting a Grail , But in this case
I bloody well am
I have a very strong desire for this piece
My family had a long history of the armed forces
Relatives served in the British army under the empire
We believe some gave the ultimate sacrifice in France during ww1
Also a relative fought in Burma during ww2
Although my mother was from India my father was born in lahore which became part of Pakistan
I have a first cousin who is in the PAF now a flight lieutenant
Also my mother brother my uncle is a retd lt general
When he was stationed in West Germany in the 1980's I got to visit a Luftwaffe Air Force base nr Heidelberg and saw the F4 Phantom in real!
He also was the second general to command strategic forces
If there is one watch that pays homage to my family heritage its got to be this one
The hunt continues ……
For now this will have to do!!!
