There is a bit of a back story. After seeing the watch on the web, I first held it in hand at an AD in Budapest. The Omega Boutique in that lovely city did not have one in stock. My wife and I discussed buying the watch and after a day or two of running the numbers (re: the VAT), I went back to the AD to buy the watch. While the sales associate was pulling together the materials for the sale I noticed something amiss with the movement. Indeed, it did not have the 8500; instead the 9300, if memory serves correctly. I pointed this out to the associate, who spoke adequate English, and she made a call to someone, perhaps their in-house watch repair person. In any event she was instructed to pull the watch from the sale; I was already prepared to back away. But, when I returned to the US I had been bitten and I sourced one from an AD. This is the watch a few years hence. Thus same watch started me on the Omega path.
