Omega

Keeping it real

Bill S,

Well, I've already chronicled my failed bids for the Chronometre de Bord (Lot 98) so that does not count.

Having to keep it real so it reflects bids that I could really afford smile .
My quintessential iconic Omegas because they reflect the Best of their Times (1970s, 1960s, 1950s) are:

1) White C-Case Constellation 1966 (Lot 173) for unparalleled elegance and very rare (for Omega) white gold bracelet.

Lot 173 in white gold

2) Gold Constellation Stardust 1975 (Lot 187) for rare yellow gold Megaquartz F2.4 MHz movement with "deep" adventurine quartz crystal polished dial. Practically as accurate as the world's most accurate wristwatch - Constellation Marine Chronometer - but a whole lot prettier!

Not the gold case but the dial is similar to Lot 190

3) Gold Constellation Deluxe Automatic 1956 (Lot 162) with two-toned gold applied faceted dart indices on guilloche ground dial and cal.354 movement......mmmm.

Bottom right Lot 162
Thanks to Bernard Cheong for this photo
