Hi,
I do belive that the finishing was actualy a requirement from the American Market. All watches had to cmpete with the high grade Walthams etc.
So if you wanted to sell upper class Watches and get some money for it you had to finish them like this.....peerles is a good example !

Hi Bill here are the D-Grades that i found in my colection and the 47.7...I hope you like them This one i bought on e-bay.... it was housed in an uggly english open face case and was offered as a sidewinder ( bullsh€%&)... i 've got the movement for 80 Do...
Those are some nice movements....
