i have bought 99.5% of all the watches i've ever owned on the Internet, mainly ebay (in fact most of the things i buy are from ebay, from interior decor to camera equipment to clothes and watches) and have only ever had 1 problem in perhaps 1000 transactions. i suppose i've been very lucky. i have a couple of policies. 1. if possible pay by paypal using a credit card. 2. if in doubt walk away.
as a worst case scenario you can just do a credit card chargeback on paypal and let them sort the problem out
.
i've had loads of good experiences, one funny one. bought a constellation grand lux from US, arrived and I HATED IT!!, too much gold with the brick bracelet which i couldnt adjust so was too big, sold it back to US 6 weeks later for over £700 profit
i've been to auction houses where the do live ebay auctions but have no experience of doing it myself. too much too quickly for my mind to cope with.
hope it all sorts itself out Bill
