The Speedmaster “CK2998” L.E.

 By: nilomis : March 18th, 2016-07:10
Team, Saw this one from a message of my favorite Boutique Manager that is in Basel and love it. I'm the first in line to get one. Finally a "non rusty" CK 2998 to tease the vintage addicts: Cool, amazing cool. It will make a nice pair with my FOIS. Cheers...

It's looks great, plus the meteorite and the Moonphase MasterChrono...

I also put down a deposit for this CK2998, not enough budget for the others ( Rgds Raymond

The moonphase ...

Is a must have. I'm unsure about the color (black or blue dialed). About the meteorite, I need to see "in metal". Cheers, Nilo

I agree, since I'm still missing a 9300-related movement...

this is their 1st MasterChronometer Chronograph and that moonphase with a footstep is amazing. Looks like Blue color is the trend for 2016, many novelties in blue. Happy Friday, Raymond

Perfect size

It seems I'm the first in line to get one at the Brasilia AD as well, this weekend I'll go there to make the down payment. Congrats.

I'm absolutely no fan of re-editions. There stupid.

And lets be fair, just look at it: picture 'stolen' from Google who got it from ablogtowatch... It's a cool watch. AND I feel that the Speedmaster is still the Original thing. Just another color ;-) ...

Looking to get this one!

Keeping my fingers crossed!

I take the easy path ...

 By: nilomis : March 18th, 2016-11:04
Of course that an original is better but I had enough disappointments with vintage watches that I prefer a good re edition. Cheers, Nilo

You may not be . . .

. . . the first, Nilo. I spoke with our local boutique manager Wednesday morning. The best part of owning the latest Speedmaster limited: you won't be able to call me 'Rusty' anymore!

My pleasure...

To follow you. Cheer, Nilo

well Nilo...

2998 homage without straight lugs?

 By: french_erik : March 19th, 2016-11:05
What\'s the point.

It seems that the lugs are bevelled from what I see on the picture, but...

 By: amanico : March 19th, 2016-11:17
Not lyre lugs, though... What do you think? Or see? Best, Nicolas

Yes, it's straight lugs like...

The FOIS: And the '57 Coaxial. Can I foresee, finally, a Speedy on your future? Cheers, Nilo ...

When I saw the picture I thought

it's a stunner and Nilo will want one. I noticed the second hand is quite special. Great color combination: remains quite sober but with a touch of twist. I hope the watch looks as nice in the metal. Cheers, Mark
