piepan?
Thank you everyone!!! I had asked Omega not to fiddle about with the dial even though the printing is barely visible. They did change the hands and the crystal, and returned the original to me.
cicindela: why do you say that this is not a piepan? Maybe not apparent from the picture due to the heselite crystal, but the dial is deeply dished in the area where the arrowheads are placed.

My grandfathers old Constellation (circa '53?). Restored by Omega in 2013...

A beautiful patina on a nice guilloche, but not actually a pie pan. Still a just as desirable watch with large arrowheads.

hi FGA, a true piepan Omega dial has 12 distinct sides to it at a sharp angle rather than just being domed. i cant explain it any better other than attach a pic of a true piepan dial. regards Graham...
