I'd be surprised if there was a line-in-the-sand date or model to mark the change between crown types. And as Bill said, some watches may have been retrofitted with the screw down crowns after the fact. The good news is that you should be able to tell exactly which type of crown was used just by
looking at it. The Naiad crowns were flat compared to the more
bullet-shaped screw down crowns. As you can see in the shot below (from a Sept 2006 post by "Elton Balch" on another forum), the difference is obvious, with the Naiad on the left and the screw down on the right.
