When it's about the case..

OP cases are a work of art, like sculptures if you will. Arguably the most beautiful cushion case out there. I love how it just boldly yet smoothly slopes down the corners with proportionate strong looking lugs to hold it down. I was lucky to have stumbled on to this angle. It may look like a simple watch but the case is deceptively well thought out. I'd even go out on a limb and say that it's probably easier to design an Octofinissimo case (which I like as well) or an AP RO playing with straight lines than with something like a 1950 case with smooth curvy edges. I'm not taking shots as AP or Bulgari by the way. Both fine and respectable watch houses and I love ém both. One can't be a "Purist" and "hate"
If you can pull off a 47mm, this along with other similar models is the one to get. 44s are nice but it's in 47s that the cases come in full bloom. Best, Echi

Nice photo too, beautifully capturing the domed crystal and shape of the lugs and case. They're big cases -- sometimes too big for my almost 7" wrist. But they're so darn beautiful that I keep coming back to them. Nothing quite like these big Panerais -- ...

It is a sculptural piece no doubt

But interesting how different a 372 compares to a 217 on the Wrist. The 372 seems to sit much more comfortably and both are cushion cases.
