Time for a change
Gents, I currently have a PAM 88 which I have had for around 3 years and use it as my every day watch. Still get many admiring glances from both watch aficionados and not.
Have decided to update and have been looking at chronographs. The obvious is the rolex daytona (but now too common), but have also been looking at the AP Royal Oak Chronograph (a beautiful watch, but very expensive for my wallet).
Having always been a Panerai man, would really like to stay with the brand. Interested to hear your views on what in the current line-up can give me that 'chrono' look, but also the traditional paneria feel. This will still be my everyday watch and will be worn both for dress and casual.

Have you considered the new Panerai chronographs from SIHH 2014?
Maybe this time try a Panerai Radiomir instead of a Luminor this time to mix it up? For example, you may want to take a look at the PAM520 Chronograph: There's a white dialed version PAM518, but that is in platinum so it won't be in your targeted budget....
I would have said the Mare Nostrum; but the Pre V one, the 301/ A.
42 mm of pure pleasure. But not in the current production. The Pam 300 is top gorgeous, but waaay too big! Best, Nicolas.

Of the 2, I don't think you can buy either at a Panerai Boutique
The PAM520 is a new watch from SIHH 2014, so I don't think they've made their way to the stores yet. But should be soon IMO. And the PAM246 was released several years ago, so I doubt there are any left there since, if I remember correctly, it was a limite...
