What PAM references since modern times, have clean dials, sans any writing on the face? Regards
It's very interesting that only 3 references have clean dial in the entire Panerai collection!
What are we missing here? Any conclusions?
I was looking this up tonight as I got very interested in this topic, but there seem to have been more in recent years...
At a quick search among the California dials, we can find at least three more references: PAM 629 (a limited edition of 300 from 2015), ref. 718 (50 pieces from 2016), and ref. 448 (750 pieces from 2012). So maybe now the topic is a bit less interesting.....
Also the platinum Cali..PAM262...
has an anonymous dial. The conclusion could be that the California dialled models are prevalently (if not all) anonymous, whereby the 721 is the..only..other Panerai with an anonymous one.
Here's a little more information, as I looked further into this topic this morning, and it was interesting!
From what I was able to find, the 721 does indeed seem (essentially) the only recent Panerai reference with a non-California, anonymous dial. To be precise, there exist a few other "anonymous" references, such as the Pam 350 and 528 (pictures below taken ...
I doubt sir. Sergio shall have objections over skeleton dial when we are discussing purity of it!!

also playes a part here. On the skeleton models there is just no space for any..scribble..and as a consequence they are..anonymous. On the Scenziato they found some space on the inside of the bezel, on the 528 there was not even space for that I believe t...
