Officine Panerai

hi all, the lastest post by nicolas got me thinking.... since panerai uses the ETA 6497 for majority of its limited releases, i was wondering just how similar is the ETA when compared to the rolex-cortebert cal. 618 which was originally used in its vintag...

The Unitas and the rolex Cortebert look very similar, so similar that I found that it was a brilliant idea from Panerai to have designed this ETA movement in this very close way. The same for the Minerva, even if I regret they " paneraized " it ... Best. ... 

asi and nicolas, thanks but do you have the technical info of the two movements? i have found many comparison pictures on the web but none provided any detailed technical info. thanks again...=)

Unfortunately, cannot find the file I have on the 618, it's here somewhere....lol Asi...

so far I only found other calibers such as 650. These are old papers and brochures and unfortunately I have too much watch related literature,,, Asi
