I was complimented a few times
Because here in Japan Panerai is really crazy, and it seems to have come back once again to the mainstage!
Of recent times, I have noticed many females sporting a Panerai here in Tokyo, more than the males actually!

Panerai in the masses?
I was out to dinner with my girlfriend this past weekend, and she noticed a man wearing a Panerai. I was impressed that she recognized the man's watch as a Panerai model. I could tell it was a PAM24, and I complimented him on his exceptional taste in time...

Nobody, and never, not even once! But I don't show off my Pannies. And honestly, I don't care people notice it / them. I love my Pannies for what they are: Solid and reliable toolwatches. Best, Nicolas

I forgot if I've even been complimented on any of my Panerais by a non-WIS stranger in public. If I have, it must have been many many years ago because I can't recall any instances. Panerai has already reached the masses, and coming close to being publica...

hardly ever been complimented. too many PAMs in singapore, everyone i know has got at least one. i got 3 myself. was at a citibank/hourglass event recently with a fellow purists here, 4 of the 5 citibankers on my desk was wearing one!!! plus too many fake...

Panerais are too common here and the average Joe would not recognize the fakes from the super rare vintage. I have noticed admiring glances when wearing other high end brands but never a direct compliment. I once made the mistake of complimenting someone ...
Outside of the WIS...
hardly ever...and even as a WIS...I would tend to keep my mouth shut with the general public...
No compliments but i see people staring at them....
